Introduction to High Performance Computing with Python

The HPC National Competence Center - RONCC, within the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, is pleased to invite you on April 18, 2024, to the "Introduction to High-Performance Computing with Python" training, which will take place at the Palace of the Parliament, in Bucharest, organized on the sidelines of the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest.

Key topics covered include:

• Introduction to HPC;
• Understanding performance limitations in Python and how to overcome them using Python libraries and tools for parallel programming.
• Accelerating Python code through just-in-time (JIT) compilation and multithreading using numba.
• Running calculations on GPUs with cupy, a replacement for numpy.
• Practical exercises and real examples to reinforce learning and practical application.

To secure one of the 20 places in the training session, please confirm in the registration form that you are familiar with at least one programming language (C/C++, Fortran, Python).
